Full Title: Suspensions, Terminations, Nonpayment - Oh My! A Contractor’s Survival Guide to EO-/DOGE-Related Impacts
With Executive Orders flying fast and furious, DOGE Indicatives impacting a number of contracts, and contracting offices across agencies and industries struggling to keep up, it sure has been an interesting time to be a federal government contractor. Many contractors in recent months have experienced contract suspensions or received stop work orders, have been terminated for default, or have experienced issues regarding non-payment. Modifications are also increasingly common, as are the incursion of unanticipated costs or delays. If you have experienced any of these things, and are confused about what to do next, rest assured that you are not alone. But neither are you without recourse or resources. In this webinar, experienced government contracts lawyer Maria Panichelli will walk attendees through how to survive suspension and termination actions, and how to make sure you can recoup the money you are owed. Maria will discuss key strategies for primes and subs, and outline the ways in which they should be cooperating in these fast-moving times. She will also discuss actions primes may be able to take in relation to unpaid invoices, and how to avoid common pitfalls relating to contract modifications. Potential claims arising from EOs and DOGE Impacts will also be covered, as will ongoing legal developments regarding EOs.
